Two of the training courses available are -
Mental Health First Aid (Lite)
This is a half a day training course for anyone interested in doing a brief introduction to Mental Health Awareness.
Mental Health First Aid (Full)
This is a 2 day course for those wanting a more detailed insight to Mental Health Awareness.
What to expect-
- Increased awareness of common Mental Health Issues
- Better understanding & knowledge of your own and others Mental Health
- Look at Self-care Strategies and Personal Development
- Knowledge of Interpersonal Development to be able to effectively communicate with others regarding Mental Health
Further opportunities are available at Kaleidoscope which include building confidence, coping with stress, body & mind relaxation techniques, positive Psychology, preparation for difficult situations and talking therapy sessions.
All of these can be applied to the knowledge learnt from the training to positively enhance your own Mental Health or that of others.
The team at Kaleidoscope run many local community wellbeing activities which link in to your own wellbeing and allows you to connect with others in a fun way. The type of activities include anything from healthy eating tips to mindfulness to crafts. They are regularly run in a variety of areas and venues for anyone to attend.
