6 week course of practical numbers skills.
This includes measuring a room, basic fractions, decimals, money, shopping, change, shapes, positive/negative numbers and adding/subtracting. You will use weights and measuring tools to help you with the maths skills you would need when cooking from scratch or looking at distances on a satnav etc. This basic and easy-going way of learning will help you with the tasks you otherwise might get stuck with on a day to day basis.

6 week course of English skills.
This looks into communications skills such as body language and facial expressions. This in turn links to written communication where you will learn more and improve upon your Basic English skills such as grammar, spelling, punctuation, tenses & visual literacy. This should help you with communicating with others face to face and through written work, making life a little easier.

Chance to Grow
This is great if you are looking to learn new skills you may never have looked into before or if you have a keen interest in horticulture you wish to develop on.
You would carry out a community work placement where you will learn a variety of basic skills in a market garden environment such as; sowing seeds, planting, digging, pruning and composting. Further skills you will learn will be looking after crops, harvesting, packing, storing, floristry, wildlife conservation and maintenance of tools. Whilst you will have spent time growing the crops you will also get chance to take part in cooking session with them.
