We celebrated in style at the Molineux Football Grounds on the 20th October 2016, in aid of our 2 Years on Celebration and Awards.
Hosted by ITV News Presenter and household name, Sameena Ali-Khan, the event showcased and celebrated the progression made over the past year. It recognised the achievements of Mentees, Mentors, Partners and Employers, who all play a valuable part in the ongoing success of Talent Match BC.
The night kicked off with speakers setting the tone for the night and praising the progression Talent Match BC has made over the last year. We heard from –
· Helen Scurr, Managing Director of Ark People and Communities
· Professor Ian Oakes, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of University of Wolverhampton
· Omari Thomas, the Brightest Star 2015, who wowed the audience with his inspirational talk about his life progression and positive mind-set with the support of Talent Match.
The night was a great success, with goodie bags to be had and lots of awards up for grabs!
The categories for each award were-
· Five Shining Star Awards for one Mentee per Hub
· The Brightest Star Award
· Mentor of the Year
· Partner of the Year
· Employer of the Year
Huge congratulations to –
· Each Shining Star- Tristan, Will, Timothy, Ryan and Sophie
· Richard from the Dudley Team who won Mentor of the Year
· Just Straight Talk who won Partner of the Year
· Alphadrive who won Employer of the Year
With further congratulations to our Brightest Star of 2016, Sophie, who was voted as the Winner by our audience.
She is currently achieving great things such as launching a handmade Teddy bear company! She also custom made some for our shining stars!
