If you have an interest in retail but require some experience or fancy a taster before applying for jobs, then the ESS TEAM and their “Trading up” experience is for you. It’s also great for any budding business owners starting up or thinking about it in the future.
The team will set you and some others up with a vacant shop in your local retail unit where you will take part in team building, market research, business planning, stock control, advertising, direct marketing, customer service & cash flow. This will give you insight into what happens within stores and also in business start-ups and day to day running processes.
The team will also help you with looking for jobs and the application/interview processes.
The experience happens over the course of a week and if requested you can make the experience even more interesting! The store can be split into small teams and even your Hub Mentors can join in! You will take part in a competition of who makes the most profit at the end of the experience!
This is overall a great chance to learn new skills and mix with other people!
