Ideal for All can offer you an opportunity to get involved in a local community project involving floristry and all the creative aspects of flower arranging. You will get the chance to learn or expand on your skills. You will get to work alongside professional florists, horticultural therapists and gardeners who will guide you along your way.
By working with Growing Opportunities over a period of 6 sessions you will not only have gained new experiences but also improved your Health and Wellbeing through Gardening. Floristry and gardening is shown to be great for relaxation and mental wellbeing.
During the 6 sessions you will take part in a variety of tasks –
- Learn how to use the tools required, source or grow flowers and learn general beginner techniques of decorative arrangements.
- Find out more about Seasonal Floristry such as foraging, recycling/upcycling and budgeting skills.
- Hands on practical activities – arrangements, bouquets and willow weaving etc
- Socialising whilst learning new skills – creating displays and arrangements together.
- Free choice activity - creating any type of arrangement etc you would like utilising all the skills you have learn during your sessions.
- Building confidence to move forward – considering the potential to further enhance your skills and take part in accredited qualifications.
